Trained as a carpenter and born to be an entrepreneur, starts his own business.
The brand
The Maurice Giraud Montagne (MGM) brand is created.
The first tourist residence
"Le Cristal d'Argentière" is created in the Chamonix Valley.
David Giraud
A seasoned entrepreneur, the founder’s son David Giraud takes over the reins at the company.
A new head office!
In order to pool all of the group’s expertise together in one place, the new head office opens in Annecy, “L’atelier MGM”.
50 years of property projects
The jubilee year, celebrating 50 years of know-how in the Alps.
MGM goes upmarket
Twenty years after opening its first tourist residence, MGM consolidates the group’s ascent by managing Le Cristal de Jade, a 5-star residence in Chamonix.
MGM expands
MGM confirms its expansion by opening the hotel and residence Alexane in Samoëns, Les Chalets Éléna in Les Houches and the Residence Anitéa in Valmorel.
New MGM residence unveiled
Opening of the Amaya residence in Les Saisies.
Daring and refined buildings
MGM continues to expand with the inauguration of Alpen Lodge Hotel & Residence in La Rosière and Le Roc des Tours in Grand-Bornand Chinaillon.
Establishing a strong presence in the Aravis
MGM confirms its foothold in the Aravis region with the opening of Les Chalets de Joy in the village of Grand-Bornand.
Mastering the art of building in the mountains
Backed by 60 years of expertise, MGM opens 4 new residences and 2 hotels: Hotel & Residence Alhéna in Flaine Forum, Hameau de l'Ours in Manigod La Croix-Fry, Hotel & Residence Chalets Láska in Les Contamines-Montjoie and Residence Manaka in Plagne Centre.
The opening of a new prestige complex
6 years after the success of Anitéa in Valmorel, MGM inaugurates its second tourism establishment in the heart of the Alpine destination:
