Created in 1992 by the FACIM (a foundation which promotes international culture in the mountains), les Chemins du Baroque® lists almost 80 buildings of historical significance throughout Savoie. This rich heritage can be discovered by bike, on foot or by motorbike. During the summer season, two circuits, less frequented than some of the more popular ones, are of particular interest. Follow the route from Séez to Tignes les Boisses, going through Montvalezan, and discover the architecture and religious treasures of the local villages. A little further afield, on the Versant du Soleil, the road offers stunning views of the Tarentaise and the Vanoise.

Legendary mountain passes

In the Tarentaise, cycling is an institution, and for good reason; its legendary mountain passes are regular features in the Tour de France. Col de la Madeleine, Col de l’Iseran, Cormet de Roselend or even the Col du petit Saint-Bernard to head over to Italy, you have many to choose from. By pedal power only, or with an e-bike, head off to take on some of the most beautiful scenery in the Tarentaise.
